I talked this over with some of the family some time back and we're going to donate $$$ to some sort of worthy cause in lieu of buying each other gifts that ultimately end up being more stuff that we don't need. And really, not having to stress over buying sh** (and getting it all home) is a huge gift. Besides which I'm not even Christian, so there is no really point to celebrate this event anyway. My whole involvement was only buying gifts for other people to avoid feeling guilty.
